Welcome to the 2nd Uganda Tanzania Business Forum!
The Forum will feature plenary and panel discussions complemented by key investment presentations, that will highlight Uganda and Tanzania’s comparative advantage to promote and attract prospective investments in joint projects; a business exhibition where select businesses will showcase their products and services, and demonstrate their manufacturing and trade capacity; and B2B, B2G and G2G sessions to give delegates the opportunity to interact with potential investors or business partners.
Objectives
The forum is being organized as a promotional event with an overall goal of attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), mobilising Ugandans living in the diaspora for development, and promoting Ugandan products so as to contribute to sustainable and inclusive growth, industrialization and job creation.
Key Objectives:

Create awareness about the business climate in Uganda, and highlight investment opportunities in the five 5 priority sectors.

Create awareness and generate interest among businesses in Tanzania to invest in Uganda.

Provide a platform to exchange ideas on suitable approaches for knowledge sharing.

Identify potential areas for partnerships and facilitate formation of joint ventures between Ugandan and Tanzanian companies.

Create awareness about Ugandan products for market access in Tanzania and neighboring countries.
Expected outcomes

Increased awareness of the investment opportunities and incentive regime in Uganda

Identify opportunities for partnerships for promoting bilateral trade

Act as a catalyst to drive an increase in export volumes of Uganda’s products and services to the Tanzania and other neighboring countries

Participation in an exploratory mission to Uganda by Tanzanian businesses and other identified key participants.
